Wavefest Committee

Co-chaired by:
Charlie Cornelius & Tom Bentley

WaveFest began as a small community festival eight (8) years ago and has grown into a regional attraction for all the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Southeast Louisiana. Each year the festival continues to grow and prosper because of support from the community as a whole. It is a one (1) day event attracting thousands of festival-goers who enjoy two (2) stages of music, many food vendors recruited from local restaurants, arts and crafts vendors and businesses promoting their goods and services. WaveFest is a family event and it's youth activities continue to increase each year. The traditional venue for the festival is Waveland's old town main street, Coleman Avenue, and Beach Blvd. Since Hurricane Katrina, the festival's has been temporarily relocated until Coleman Avenue and the beachfront area rebuilding efforts are completed.
This year will be the 9th Annual WaveFest and will enlist a committee of twenty-two (22) volunteers to coordinate the festival. WaveFest, also, is the primary fund-raising event for the Waveland Community Coalition's annual operational budget.
